

Gozer is considered to be the archenemy of the Ghostbusters. Gozer has two trusted minions, themselves worshipped as demi-gods, that are harbingers and primary agents for its coming, being Vinz Clortho (The Keymaster) and Zuul (The Gatekeeper).

It was worshipped by the powerful Cult of Gozer. Gozer is genderless (though it first appears as a female in the movie).

Gozer was worshipped as a deity by the Hittites, Mesopotamians, and Sumerians around 6000 BC. It is an ancient, destructive, ultra-powerful, defamatory, and malignant god-like entity that sought to destroy the world using a legion of evil spirits. Key to Luclin Vinz Clortho whispers, 'Vyemm and Vulak`Aerr hold the last keys to Luclin. Key to Temple of Veeshan Vinz Clortho whispers, 'The three kings of Velious hold this key.' It grants access to Kael, Skyshrine, Icewell Keep and the Plane of Growth.' Key to Velious Vinz Clortho whispers, 'Phara Dar holds the key to Velious. If you cannot find the key, his tooth will do.' Key to Veeshan's Peak Vinz Clortho whispers, 'Trakanon has this key. It grants access to Old Sebilis, Chardok, Chardok: Halls of Betrayal, and Howling Stones.' Key to Kunark Vinz Clortho whispers, 'The fire and ice dragons have this key, and so does the ancient Iksar in Karnor's castle. The fragments can be found on ghosts of the creatures that held the original keys.'
